The first thing you need to ask yourself is whether or not it’s worth the effort. I know your hurt but this is really an important step. If you only want to get him back because you’ve lost him and not necessarily because you love him them now is the time to put that relationship to rest and look for another fish in the sea. I hate to use a cliche but I think this one fits, there are many fish out there that are lonely and would love you the way you should be loved, unconditionally.

With that out of the way let’s look at a few more methods on how to end a breakup. Some of it may seem redundant but you should look at this redundancy as a level of importance. Let’s look at 5 way’s you can use your history with that man of your dreams to help you today.

Try Something New

Think back to when times were good, when you used to talk about trying new things. Maybe it was going on a trip or visiting somewhere close to home. Go and do whatever it was you were talking about. Before you do though make sure you let any friends you have in common know your going. You may even let it slip that you would have loved to go with your ex-boyfriend if only he wasn’t your ex any more. A little devious but, we do what we have to do sometimes. You could go the less devious route and ask him directly. Tell him you just want to go as friends and see what happens!

A New Hair Style or Clothing

If you spent any amount of time in the relationship your trying to rekindle then you have a good idea of what his taste in hair, clothes, etc might be. Treat yourself to a makeover and make sure he “accidentally” runs into you on the street. A side note here, don’t do anything your uncomfortable with, if your doing something you don’t like now then you’ll have problems with this in the future.

Open Lines Of Communication

You have a huge advantage learning how to end a breakup in knowing what your ex-boyfriend likes to talk about, and more importantly, what he doesn’t like to talk about. Use this to your advantage and learn something new that you never showed an interest in before. Maybe he likes bike riding and you were never into it. Buy yourself a bike, get out there and use it, you never know, you just might like it. You’ll have something new in common and that old spark just might come back.

Invite Him To Do Something With You

Use your past history to get him back by finding something that that you know he’ll love to do. Ask him to a movie as just friends and this will open a door for you to spend a little time with him. Never sound desperate while asking or, if he accepts your invitation, while your spending time together. He just might see you in a new way.

Talk To His Family

If your relationship with your ex-boyfriend was good then you were probably introduced to and met with his family quite often. Give them a call to let them know you were thinking of them and casually ask how he’s doing. Make sure he’s not hurting over his loss of you. Most family members respond positively to this concern and may mention how they miss you etc…
